Blossom blankets are Melbourne artist Mary Lou Pavlovic's floral creations designed for families and friends to place over loved ones at funerals. The blankets create a stunning, gentle, calming effect and are intended to help relieve some of the harshness that can be associated with the day.  All blankets can be kept and framed after the service to create a lasting beautiful memorial.  They are created from high quality craft and corn husk flowers and are available in full or half size. Customised options are also available.

The idea for blossom blanket came with the passing of the artist's father Ivan in May 2008. The Pavlovic family requested  Mary Lou create something loving, warm and unique to honour this very special person. With only three days to work, and also that the funeral was being held in Canberra and the artist worked in Melbourne - a blanket of white blossom was created from craft blossom branches. Fresh roses and daisies were placed over the top of the blanket at the funeral. The blanket was received so favourably by family and friends  Mary Lou decided to create a range of blankets for others who may need one.
